Brook Crawford's Profile and Contact Information
Brook Crawford obtained his Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of North Texas in 1967. After graduation he was drafted into the military during the Vietnam War. Upon being drafted Mr. Crawford enlisted in Officer Candidate School, US Army. After being commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and six months state side duty he was sent to Vietnam and assigned as a Platoon Leader. After six months in the field he made First Lieutenant and was assigned as an Aide de Camp to the General that led the task force invasion into Cambodia. After a year of Vietnam duty he was assigned to Fort Hood Texas as a Company Commander and achieved the rank of Captain. Upon being honorably discharged from the Army in 1971 Brook began his Insurance career with a national firm.
In 1975, Brook Crawford began ownership of his first Independent Insurance Agency. He sold his agency to a National Broker and served as President of the Dallas Office in 1988. In 1992, Mr. Crawford formed a new agency and began acquiring numerous agencies over the years that were eventually sold off. In 2005 he formed a joint venture with a financial institution and purchased a number of agencies. Two years later, Mr. Crawford purchased the insurance operations of the financial institution and continued as Managing Partner & CEO of the operation while purchasing other agencies. Selling his majority interest in 2012, he formed a new agency operation in 2013.
In 2014, Brook Crawford was installed as the President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas (IIAD), and in 2016, Mr. Crawford formed his latest insurance agency operation - BrookStone Insurance Group, LLC. Currently, BrookStone has grown to several locations with 17 employees through aggressive acquisitions and core growth.
